Bark thru Boneyards -- and over the Bridge!

Details
Join us for a Saturday stroll in the nearby suburbs, where we'll explore key features of the Cynwyd Heritage trail -- two historic cemeteries and one very special bridge with spectacular views over Manayunk and the Schuylkill River.
ABOUT THE LOCATION:
We'll meet at West Laurel Hill, a Level 2 arboretum, where rare and native trees mix along criss-crossed paths, dotted with sculpture from Victorian, Art Deco and Modern times. On this high perch over the Schuylkill, the views are extra dramatic this time of year, with all the leaves fallen.
We'll head down to the Cynwyd Heritage Trail – a paved, multi-use rail-trail that we'll follow to the Manayunk Bridge, which spans about a half mile, crossing the Schuylkill (both river and expressway), leading to an amazing lookout over Main Street, where Manayunk's streets, shops and cafes spread out from the canal, climbing up steep hills in a colorful jumble of local architecture.
FUN FACT: Manayunk Bridge has received new lighting so it can stay open 24/7, providing a direct route from NW Philly to Lower Merion for cyclists, strollers, dog walkers, and self-propelled travelers of all kinds. (read more)
One the way back, we'll pop into Westminster Cemetery for a quick jaunt around even more local scenery (and maybe get our paws wet in the little creek along the way).
