What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
Note: The meetup fee on Tuesday is now $10. Open play on up to seven courts. Using the IFP (International Federation of Pickleball) rating system as a guide, players should have a minimum rating of 3.5. Limiting the attendance to 36 means there's never more than eight players waiting. Players play one or two games before yielding to players waiting. In the two consecutive game format, two players stay on after each game and two new players join them. Game rotation is flexible depending on interest and number of players waiting. A full line of Engage demo paddles are available if one is looking to purchase their own paddle. Franklin X (hard) and Onix (soft) balls are used. The more advanced players prefer the harder ball. The RSVP policy is strict due to the popularity of the events and the ever presence of a wait list. If one RSVPs and subsequently decides not to attend, he or she must cancel, preferably by 8AM at the latest, in order that one previously waitlisted has sufficient notice. No-shows are subject to temporary suspension from attending the meetup events. Restrooms with showers are available. Monies are collected on court beginning at 10AM. The tennis court nearest the front door is for tennis lessons. If there is activity on that court, walk behind the curtain to the left to access the pickleball courts.
Note: The fee for the Wednesday meetup is now $10. Open play on up to seven courts spread over two (or three) tennis courts. Our Monday and Wednesday meetup events are intended for beginners and low-intermediate players. Previously our meetups did not designate a specific skill level. Given the vast number of players attending the weekday events, it makes sense to provide some structure to provide fairer competition for all. Generally speaking, players play one game and then come off if four other players waiting want to take the court. The ratio of players to courts is never more than five to one and almost always less, so nobody has to sit out long. Though there is no strict protocol on the arrangement of games, there is with respect to your RSVP. If you RSVP (or are on the wait list) and subsequently change your mind about attending, you must go on the website and indicate such by clicking on the X and then clicking on "Submit" at the top right corner of the screen. Failure to do so can result in temporary suspension of your privilege to participate in the meetup events. Also, when you RSVP with a +1 and are on the wait list, you will be bypassed by those below you on the list who do not have a +1, unless two spots become open. Paddles and balls (both hard and soft) are provided. Engage paddles are available for sale, demos of each model on hand. Shower facilities are available. Please be mindful of tennis lessons happening on Court 1. Walk behind the curtain to the left to reach the pickleball courts. Email the organizer if you have any questions.
NEW MEETUP - This meetup encourages attendance for intermediate level players and above due to four court limit as well as two hour playing time. Beginner levels may have best success in attending morning meetups, especially Mon and Wed. Saturday nights are also totally open play. Admission for this meetup is $10, paid onsite prior to play. Courts will be located on tennis court 3 (3rd court from entrance) and will be set up and taken down for you. Paddles and balls provided. Climate control provided. Additionally, a pickleball pro will be onsite to help with any questions, issues or advice or to help with new players.
Important! Slight change. No more Saturday night tennis this year now. This Saturday PB is back to normal hours of 6pm to 10pm now. Saturdays will resume to normal hours, going forward. Admission is $10 at the door, unless you've pre-paid
