We're excited to announce our second Cyber Security Nottingham Meetup following the amazing success of our inaugural event back in May.

---------------------------------------------------------

Speaker 1: Michael Williams

Title: Can we ever fix the problems with passwords?

Synopsis: Passwords were the first real security feature, they are still a ubiquitous part of every day Cyber security and yet there is so much wrong. Can we do better? If so how?

---------------------------------------------------------

Speaker 2: Mark Goodwin (@mr_goodwin)

Title: Browser Security Basics

Synopsis: We spend lots of time thinking about the security of our web applications, but how often do we think about what's beneath our feet? The web platform is as much as part of the security of our systems as the code we write ourselves. This talk, by an experienced browser security engineer, covers the basics of Browser Security; what it is, why it's important and what you need to know to get started.

Bio: Mark is a software security specialist with decades of experience in building and securing Internet facing systems. Mark currently works for Mozilla on the Firefox web browser.
