What we're about

¡Hola!

Welcome to a Nottingham-based meeting group for people wishing to practice their Spanish and meet up with like-minded people from all walks of life. Don't be shy! Your Spanish doesn't need to be perfect... just join in a conversation, or listen along if you prefer.

Come, have a drink, chat and make friends!

The Nottingham Spanish Language Meetup

The Malt Cross

PLEASE NOTE - numbers at this Meetup are strictly limited to 12 people in one or two separate groups of six. If anyone attends who hasn't booked and this pushes our attendance over 12 people, then we give priority to members who have booked, which is only fair. The law limits social gatherings to six people. It is important you book before coming so we can maintain a limit of six people in each group in the pub. Also, if you change your plans please let us know in advance so you free up the space for someone else. I must give our numbers to the Malt Cross in advance which I do on Wednesday morning. Therefore the meetup will be closed to RSVPs at midnight on Tuesday. Depending on numbers, we have one or two tables for six booked each week, round which there is enough space for people to sit one metre apart. You must stay in the same group of six and not swap between the two tables. In each group of six people, members must sit a metre apart unless they are from the same household. We will use the Meetup Group membership to contact members if Track and Trace is required. The group organiser at your table will provide their phone number to the pub for their Track and Trace and keep a list of the other five members at the table. If more than twelve people come, you cannot join either of the two Spanish Groups and need to find yourself somewhere else to sit in the pub. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. This applies for the pub as a whole, not just our reservations. Please note the pub is safe with a one way system, hand sanitiser available and in use on the door, table service and contactless payment is required. We have brought the start time of the event forward to 6.00pm to overlap more with the pub’s quiet time. All these arrangements are temporary to comply with the current law. We look forward to returning to a more thriving group when it is safe to do so.
