Sherwood Forest is a truly outstanding location for a spring walk. It is an important area for its wildlife and contains some of Europe's greatest trees and heathland. We will visit the major oak which is between 800 and 1000 years old and was according to folklore Robin Hoods hideout. For the rest of the walk it is intended to avoid the little Robin Hoods and explore the remote trails of the forest. The walk will be just under 8 miles on flat terrain.
