What we’re about
Notts Progs began many moons ago — back when floppy disks were available, and “the cloud” meant actual weather. Since then, it’s quietly endured as a cosy corner of Nottingham’s tech scene. I’m the fourth custodian (to my knowledge) to carry the baton — passed hand to hand as time marched on and keyboards changed shape.
At its heart, Notts Progs is a friendly, no-pressure meetup for programmers in and around Nottingham. We welcome anyone with a curiosity for code — seasoned pros, weekend tinkerers, language-hoppers, and total beginners alike.
There’s no schedule, no talks, and definitely no whiteboards. Just people, pints (I only drink soft drinks), and plenty of chat about tech (and often not-tech). If you’re local and you like code, come along — we’d love to meet you.
