About the Talk
It's that time of year again – when we promise ourselves that we'll change our lives for the better!
But how did things go for you in 2021?
– Did your New Year resolutions fizzle out by February?
– Did COVID de-rail your carefully crafted plans?
– Did you make time for the things that really matter?
– Did you get to December and wonder how the year whizzed by so fast?
Wouldn't it be great if 2022 could be different?
In this month's NottsTechfast, Paul will share his personal journey. Explaining why he gave up on new year's resolutions and instead, adopted a ‘Design Thinking’ approach – treating life as a prototype and iterating in small steps towards a better future.
In this session, you’ll learn…
– what are the ‘Design Thinking’ mindsets that will help you overcome ambiguity and deal with the 'unknown'
– why continuous iteration is much more effective than once a year ‘big bang’ change
– how you can try your own 'life experiment' with the ‘#DesignThinkingDad – Awesome Year Playbook’!
You don’t have to be a ‘Designer’ or even 'Creative' to enjoy this session.
Paul will share practical tips and tricks, that will help you reflect on your past, design your awesome future and stay laser-focused throughout 2022!

In this role as #DesignThinkingDad, he spends his time coming up with ingenious ways to edutain his kids. Helping them learn the 'Design Thinking' and 'Human' skills they’ll need to thrive during the digital revolution.
As well as co-hosting @NottsTechfast he’s a regular speaker on the value of Design and a passionate advocate for improving design literacy and problem-solving skills in early years education.
