Ayurveda, the science of life is truly the most holistic system of medicine practiced for over 5000 years. It is a sister science to YOGA incorporating herbs, food guidelines, specific asanas, meditation, aromatherapy, various body therapies for detoxification and rejuvenation to support the body‘s intelligence to heal and bring it back to its own natural state of balance. The purpose of this group is to share the wisdom of Ayurveda to help one live a life of complete balance.
Learn about the medicinal benefits of ghee as we make it together, infusing it with the powerful energy of healing chants and prayers. On January 20th of the New Year, we will make 'Shakti Ghee' with herbs to build our Ojas with herbs such as Shatavari, Ashwagandha and Bacopa. Each person will take home a jar of organic ghee made with love. Enjoy with family or give as a special gift.
A guided Imagery workshop designed to relax your mind and nervous system in order to allow your imagination to guide you to your most calm, balanced, and rejuvenated self. Using all five senses, participants are guided and encouraged to allow themselves to explore ideas, feelings, and thoughts. Participants will become more attuned and attentive to their “inner selves” as the noise of the day falls to the side.
The workshop will consist of an initial relaxation session including gentle stretching, breathing techniques, and craniosacral balancing, followed by a guided imagery session. Following each session, participants will be encouraged to write down their imagery with some guiding questions. Participants are welcome to share their journeys with the group or to keep them private.
Please wear comfortable clothing and feel free to bring your own yoga mats, blankets, or whatever item you need to feel relaxed.
