What we're about
Please come join our group of cat lovers who are in the process of providing TNR for 32 + colonies (400+ cats/kittens) in and surrounding Anaheim. Our group started when an elderly multi-colony caregiver ended up in the hospital and there was a need for temporary feeders. Realizing the number of cats being fed without attempting to spay/neuter, brought about our concerns for the health and safety of these community cats. We have had a few community meetings to recruit like-minded cat lovers and have several people who have been trapping, others who transport to and from the vet, fosters, feeders, and schedulers, etc. We are also in need of more team leaders, media and community relations, and fundraisers. We are currently working with the City of Anaheim to revise their recent (Jan.'15) law regarding the prohibition of feeding feral/stray cats within the City of Anaheim. The law was enacted in large part due to the caregiver we are helping. He has been cited for several nusiance charges and is very well known for his beligerence. We have been asked by the city to help them revise the law so that responsible caregivers can continue to feed our community cats as long as spay/neuter actions are in place, create plans for community education, business cooperation, and more. We need volunteers who have the desire to make a huge impact in the lives of our community cats and can help us reach our goal of creating a role model for every city to follow. All skill levels are welcome. We will happily train anyone who has a heart for these precious kitties!
