What we're about

Let's go outdoors. Snowboard and ski in the winter and hiking and camping in the summer. Are you adventures and looking for friends to do various outdoor activities with. We are too. We started as a snowboarding group but have now ventured into outdoor adventures and more! We love winter sports and enjoy summer adventures as well. When there is snow, we hit up the slopes. In warmer months, we keep up the fun through hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and other outdoor adventures as well as game nights and other fun stuff.

If you don't snowboard or ski, want to learn or enjoy outdoor adventures, we welcome you too!

Get ready to meet with local snowboarders and adventurers! Feel free to post trips & plan event with other snowboarders and outdoors enthusiasts via the message board or email. We will also meet up now & then to share boarding and outdoors stories & ideas about resorts, vacations, equipment, etc. We will do happy hours, social networking and other fun things too!

If you don't think you want to ski or snowboard the entire weekend, there is still plenty of cool stuff to do. Ever been to Mono Lake and seen the tufas? It's like you're on another planet! Ever hiked into a volcano crater? Or what about hotsprings? Who doesn't like hotsprings?

Ski/Snowboard Winter Park Mountain Resort - IKON Pass Resort! Colorado!

With the IKON Pass offering so many different mountains, we are trying as many out as we can! :) Let's add Winter Park to the list. I heard many good things about the mountain and I have a good feeling it won't disappoint! We are staying at the Lion's Gate Lodge - nestled 10 minutes from the resort and a short walk/drive to downtown Winter Park. So far, we are only able to secure a 3 bedroom unit. That means we only have 6 spots. If we are able to secure more lodging, we will open it up to more people! :) We have the Lodge from Friday 2/1 until Friday 2/7. You can stay any portion of that week. Dee is running this trip and is planning on arriving 2/1 and flying back to LA on the evening of Sunday 2/3. The cost is the same no matter which dates you stay. If you have extra time and can stay a bit later, definitely try to visit Copper Mtn and/or Eldora Mtn, which are also part of IKON Pass. (There are also a bunch of Epic Pass mountains about 1.5 hours away.) The cost is $375 per person. The funds we put together is for lodging, some breakfast items, snacks and other goodies around the house. Please budget for flight to Denver, shuttle to the lodge, lunch and dinner, and miscellaneous stuff (T-shirt, anyone?). The free shuttles in town are really easy to use (10 minutes to get to the mountain) and we are actually staying in town, near restaurants and all! :) Want to go? Only a payment, not an RSVP locks in your spot. This event is cross-posted on many meetup groups with Mix Professionals (www.MixProfessionals.com) being the main meetup. Therefore I need to centralize all the confirmed attendees in one group. In order to lock in your spot you MUST RSVP and submit payment via my main meetup group by going here: http://bit.ly/WinterParkMeetup You are not confirmed for the trip until you RSVP via the main group AND submit payment. Let me know if you have any other questions! :) Anna

Jackson Hole - You asked for it - Let's Go!

Needs a location

Alright, snowboarding/ski season is right around the corner and I am getting excited and ready to "abuse" my Ikon Season Pass!!! What's even more exciting for me...... this will be a dream come true. I been to Teton Village and hiked Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, BUT, I never snowboard at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort before. I have always heard about the amazing snow and the awesome terrains (Big Mountain) and been dreaming to experience it! What's even better this year? The lift ticket is included in my Ikon Pass. I don't have to pay anything extra for lift tickets!!!! Yay! Join me for the trip! Where are we staying at? I booked a place that's within walking distance to the "commuter" chairlift. It's almost ski-in and ski-out. Almost. A very short walk. As for lift tickets, if you have your Ikon Pass, well, you are covered! :) As for food and stuff? I will cook Thursday and Friday night and we can head to Teton Village for dinner on Saturday evening. With the funds we put together, I will also have breakfast items for us - pastries, coffee, eggs, and such. I will also grab some munchies for the house. So, have money for dinner on Saturday evening and lunches on the mountain!~ :) The cost is $495 per person. Per aforementioned, the fund we put together is for the lodging, some breakfast items, snacks around the house and 2 dinners (Thursday and Friday evening). Please budget for flight to Jackson Hole, uber ride to our place, lunches, one dinner, IKON pass/lift ticket and miscellaneous stuff (Jackson Hole T-shirt, anyone?). Transportation: I plan to fly to Jackson Hole and I am renting a car once I get there (I will post my flight info once I book it). If you are fine with cab/uber, that's a great way to get to the house! :) This event is cross-posted on many meetup groups with Mix Professionals (www.MixProfessionals.com) being the main meetup. Therefore I need to centralize all the confirmed attendees in one group. Ski/Snowboard in Aspen - IKON Pass in good use! [OC]

Needs a location

I loved, loved, loved Aspen Snowmass the last I was there. I had an AMAZING time. It snowed the 2 days I was there, no white out, and .... by the time I come down the same run.... there was so much new snow that it looked like a brand new pow-run! Wow. It was so amazing we wished we didn't have to go home!!! Well, let's go back (for some, first time). There are 4 resorts at Aspen - Aspen, AJax, Buttermilk and Snowmass. I stayed at the Westin last time so was ski-in and ski-out of Snowmass and with the snow so good, I didn't hit up the other mountains. Where are we staying at is actually closest to Snowmass. But, no worries... we are a (free) bus ride away to the other mountains! From the place we are staying at, we are a short few bus stops away from the mountain! :) Included in costs is lodging, Thursday and Friday dinners, and I will pick up breakfast items for us - pastries, coffee, eggs, and such. I will also grab some munchies and other goodies for the house. We will go out on Saturday night for dinner!~ :) The cost is $465 per person. Please also budget for flight to Aspen, cab ride to our place, lunches on the mountain, Saturday dinner, lift ticket/IKON pass, and miscellaneous stuff (Aspen T-shirt, anyone?). The reservation is based on FIRST PAID and has a limited number of people (we try to have gender balanced trips). Whoever pays first will be on the "go" list. If you RSVP yes but don't submit payment your spot is not confirmed and I may move you to the "not attending" list without any further explanation because only a payment (not just an RSVP) locks in your spot. Transportation: I plan to fly to Aspen and I am renting a car once I get there (I will post my flight info once I book it). If you are fine with cab/uber, that's a great way to get to the house! :) Thinking of coming alone? Is that weird? Not at all! Most people come by themselves to these events and have a blast and end up with a new social circle of friends! This event is cross-posted on many meetup groups with Mix Professionals (www.MixProfessionals.com) being the main meetup. Therefore I need to centralize all the confirmed attendees in one group. In order to lock in your spot you MUST RSVP and submit payment via my main meetup group by going here: http://bit.ly/AspenMeetup You are not confirmed for the trip until you RSVP via the main group AND submit payment. Utah Ski/Snowboarding Trip!!!! Snowbird, Park City and much more!

This year with the new IKON Pass, there is a ton of excitement for many to visit new resorts. We are just excited as you. I have though, been to most of the resorts in Salt Lake City and can say, they are totally worth your time. Utah seriously has the best snow in the world (feels like baby powder!). This trip, you can join us from Sunday 3/31 to Sunday 4/7 or a fraction thereof. We are planning to visit 6 of the Ikon Pass Resorts (4 for snowboarders since Deer Valley and Alta are only for skiers). For those with Epic Pass, you can just walk to the slope from our hotel. Some fun facts, Park City is the LARGEST Resort in the U.S.A! What makes this trip so wonderful besides our time on the slopes? We are staying in the beautiful Marriott Summit Watch and we are within walking distance to all the great restaurants in the area! I booked three 2 bedroom units. In addition, there are 3 Jacuzzis at the hotel, a nice gym, CLOSE to main street (right outside), and amenities such as free-wifi, washer and dryer, whirlpool tub in master bedroom (so there are 3), and a fully equipped kitchen (x 3). I plan to arrive on Sunday 3/31 (I plan to snowboard at Snowbasin for two days prior to Park City (http://www.snow.com/)). We will stay until Sunday, 4/7. I plan to visit Snowbird/Alta, Solitude/Brighton, Deer Valley and possibly Snowbasin again! The cost is $425 per person for the week or $375 if you can only join us from Wed/Thurs to Sunday. The $$$ is for lodging and some of the breakfast items along with snacks around the house. Please budget for the flight to Salt Lake City, transportation to Park City (very easy with a shuttle or Uber) along with dinners and lift tickets, etc. If you have the Ikon Pass, you are covered as far as lift tickets! :) Transportation: Please fly to Salt Lake City. Getting to Park City from the airport is easy - there are shuttles, taxis and even skiUber all for a reasonable price. This event is cross-posted on many meetup groups with Mix Professionals (www.MixProfessionals.com) being the main meetup. Therefore I need to centralize all the confirmed attendees in one group. In order to lock in your spot you MUST RSVP and submit payment via my main meetup group by going here: http://bit.ly/UtahSnowMeetup You are not confirmed for the trip until you RSVP via the main group AND submit payment.
