How do you protect yourself, your colleagues, and your sources in a world where reporting on facts is a radical proposition? While most journalists are aware of the potential for being targeted, only rarely are they IT security professionals-- and that’s okay!

Our friends from the Dallas Cryptoparty group are going to show you what these abstract threats actually look like in practice and provide a conceptual understanding of how to defend yourself from them.

You’ll leave with a roadmap for learning the habits of information security, and the confidence to start building the right skills. Proficiency at information security is a lifelong journey. This is where it starts.
