In addition to that, we have a lightning talk about Malware Analysis to Drive Threat Hunting & Detection Engineering by Kyle Cucci.

KEY NOTE: Container Orchestration Security
Rory will shares his insights on Container Orchestration concepts what it means for security. Rory will look at some of the technical underpinning of how containers operate, examine some of the common security pitfalls in both Docker and Kubernetes and explain why they’re essentially Remote Code Execution as a service!

Presenter Bio: Rory has over 20 years of IT experience and is an author of the CIS Benchmarks for Docker and Kubernetes. He is also an active member of the container security community having delivered presentations at numerous IT and Information security conferences industry conferences including BlackHat USA. These days he spends his work time on container and cloud native security as a Cloud Native Security Advocate for Aqua. When he's not working, Rory can generally be found out walking and enjoying the scenery of the Scottish highlands.

LIGHTNING TALK: Malware Analysis to Drive Threat Hunting & Detection Engineering.
Resources like MITRE ATT&CK offer a great way to map attacker TTP's to your organization’s detection program, and drive detection engineering and threat hunting. The primary problem with resources like MITRE ATT&CK is that they are fairly general and high-level, and it is sometimes difficult to apply them to YOUR organization. That is where malware analysis comes in. The malware that your organization sees every day contains valuable TTP’s and intel that can be used to develop strong detection use-cases and hunts to detect the real and present threats targeting your organization.

Presenter Bio: Kyle Cucci is currently leading the malware research team at a large global bank. His daily activities include reverse-engineering malware, researching threats affecting the finance and banking industry, and making cool PowerPoint presentations. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and playing a bit with all the latest open-source tools.
