Are you a web developer that would like to better understand some of the common security flaws found in JavaScript web applications?

Are you an information security professional looking for a fun way to sharpen you skills?

Are you an IT pro in the Sioux Falls area looking to make some new connections?

Are you a student who has an interest in web application penetration testing?

If you answered yes to any of these questions and if you like free pizza (thanks to SDN Communications), then you should come check out the first ever OWASP Sioux Falls Capture the Flag event, being held at the 41st Street Pizza Ranch in Sioux Falls on August 22, 2018. For two hours, teams will compete with one another for the glory of being the best web application pen testers in that particular Pizza Ranch! You may also get some sweet, sweet swag.

Teams can consist of one or more people, but we don't recommend teams larger than three. Each individual will need to have their own containerized instance of Juice Shop, which he or she will set up in the cloud at Heroku.com (it's free). Instructions for setting up Juice Shop on Heroku can be found at http://blog.sodaksec.com/2018/08/setting-up-juiceshop-in-heroku.html

If these instructions leave you confused and befuddled, we will have some time for setting up prior to the start of the event. However, we recommend that you attempt to build your Juice Shop application before coming to the CTF, as we only have two hours to use the room. Be sure to read all of the information in the instructions prior to installing Juice Shop in Heroku.
