Are you a professional who wants to meditate but doesn't really know how, or wants a low pressure vibe without feeling weird about it? Based on the work of Dan Harris in the book (and app) Ten Percent Happier, this group will be for (in his words) "meditation skeptics" who like the idea of mindfulness but want a low-pressure setting. I am a working professional and an ex-meditation instructor. Our events will consist of short 5-10 minute lectures, a short 10-15 minute meditation, and then some time to have snacks, meet each other, talk about our lives and then head out. The whole thing is designed to take an hour and give us time to go on about our lives. Most events will be held in the common areas of my apartment complex, right next to a BART station.
