Whiskey Island Wednesdays

Come out to Wendy Park at Whiskey Island to paddle and be with paddlers. Let's build a regular outing where paddlers can be with other paddlers for fun, safety, and to improve their kayaking skills. Destinations will vary depending on paddlers ability. Learners can stay near shore within the breakwall. Experienced sea kayakers can do longer distances and go out on Lake Erie. There are a number of people who are members who do not own a kayak or gear. If anyone has a spare kayak and is willing to share it please let us know and we will make the connections. We're looking into kayak liveries as well. Stand-Up Paddleboarders welcome! Safety in numbers and experience.

Be sure to bring all USCG required gear (PFD, whistle and properly registered boat) as well as any appropriate additional safety gear/clothing for weather/paddle conditions.
