Tell us about yourself and your sea paddling experience including wet exit experience with a sea skirt.

I paddled casually and very infrequently for years. Bought a sea kayak in the spring of 2013 and have been paddling regularly and loving it ever since. Took 41 North Seakayak 101 and 102 courses and am confident in wet exits and assisted and unassisted rescues. Have been out paddling in local lakes and rivers and Lake Erie and have participated in organized outings, including 2 Lake Chautauqua end-to-end paddles (18 miles), and Muskingum River paddle with CSK group (20 miles). I've been kayaking in Maine and the Florida Everglades on overnight kayaking/camping trips, and have enjoyed day trips at Presque Isle and Pymantuning State Park.

While we welcome beginner kayakers and want to encourage those seeking sea kayaking learning events and experiences are you OK with being being excluded from events (for safety) based on your beginner status?

Describe your sea kayaking gear including whether you have access to a boat. Include PFD, spray skirt, wet suit and any other gear you will bring and use for outings.

I paddle a Current Designs Solstice GTS (17.5 ft) and use or carry recommended basic equipment: PFD, spray skirt, paddle float, bilge pump, tow line, compass, navigation light, wet suit.

Have you paddled on Lake Erie? If so, where and how far? There is no wrong answer to this question.

Yes, I have paddled Lake Erie from Wendy Park, Wildwood Park, Fairport Harbor. I have paddled on some chop, but not a lot of distance in big waves.

Is your profile picture an identifiable head shot of YOU and ONLY you? If not, you will be declined.

I have always enjoyed the outdoors and being on the water...and recently discovered a love of kayaking.
