This informative session will cover recent developments in Web 3 technology including advancements in decentralized data sharing and data access control technology.

TOPIC 1 - “The Convergence Stack”
Lawrence Lundy-Bryan, Head of Research at Outlier Ventures explains how the convergence stack will form the foundation of Web 3. Privacy-protecting, peer-to-peer, and open-source, the Convergence Stack will decentralize the cloud and unbundle the Internet platforms creating a more equitable data economy.

TOPIC 2 - “Beyond Data”
Marcus Jones, lead Data Scientist at Ocean Protocol, will go “beyond data” to discuss the future of decentralized AI and explain how Ocean Protocol's open and cryptographically secure platform empowers data scientists to build applications such as compute over private data, and federated learning to unlock the true potential of AI.

“Infrastructure for the New Data Economy”
This hands-on workshop offers participants a chance to work directly with code - so bring your laptop and be prepared to dive in! The first part of the workshop will focus on methods for searching, publishing, and consuming digital assets on the Ocean Protocol network including how to set up and run a data marketplace in an Ocean network. The second part of the workshop will explore innovative ideas for DApps that create value for organizations, businesses and end-users alike.
