How has religion, media and politics impeded efforts to deal with Climate Change?

A recent report on Great Plains , last paragraph states some politicians will be resisitant to the water conservation measures needed to deal with current problems.
Mark Rubio's comments yesterday are an example of how some of our leaders will look at policymaking of this issue.

I found that most of the religious opposition to science had to do with Evolution.. not climate change. If you find something noteworthy on that opposition, please post it in the commentaries, so I can review and possibly add to this
