Science and the Supernatural: Anecdotal accounts of supernatural phenomena are a part of every culture and date as far back as recorded human history. Should these accounts be completely dismissed based on lack of scientific proof, or does the sheer number and pervasiveness of such accounts indicate something worthy of further study? If, in fact, such accounts aren't valid, what might that tell us about the human mind? If, on the other hand, such accounts are valid, what might that suggest about science as we understand it today?
