What we're about
This group is about meeting new people and making new friends while being active and having fun! Join us for a hike, kayaking, catching a new film, playing games, going to a festival, or listening to music after work. The group is open to active adults, both singles and couples, of all orientations, young and young-at-heart. Come with your partner or friends, or come by yourself and meet new people. The group members are friendly and welcoming to new comers. Please join us for some fun!
When you sign-up please post a picture of yourself so other members can get to know you. It also makes it easier to recognize you at events, and for all of us to be friendly. Also, if you RSVP for an event and find your plans change and you can't make it, then please be respectful to other members and change your RSVP. Sometimes we have a wait-list for attendance at events, or make reservations, or get supplies which vary according to the numbers. We need an accurate headcount. In general, our events are adult only events, unless specifically listed as "family friendly."
New members are encouraged to check out our events free of charge and with no obligation. We are confident you'll come back! If you like us and come back, then make a donation. Members who attend regularly are suggested to donate a $1/month or $10/year to help support the cost of having the web site and other group expenses. This suggested donation can be paid on-line, or given to the organizer at events.
Suggestions for events are always welcome. Just email the organizer, Shelley Viles, with your ideas.
Members frequently post pictures of the events and participants on the group site and on Facebook. Please understand that this pictures can be seen by the public. Of course, if you find a picture to be unflattering, you can ask the person who posted it to take the photo down.
