What we're about

This group is about meeting new people and making new friends while being active and having fun! Join us for a hike, kayaking, catching a new film, playing games, going to a festival, or listening to music after work. The group is open to active adults, both singles and couples, of all orientations, young and young-at-heart. Come with your partner or friends, or come by yourself and meet new people. The group members are friendly and welcoming to new comers. Please join us for some fun!

When you sign-up please post a picture of yourself so other members can get to know you. It also makes it easier to recognize you at events, and for all of us to be friendly. Also, if you RSVP for an event and find your plans change and you can't make it, then please be respectful to other members and change your RSVP. Sometimes we have a wait-list for attendance at events, or make reservations, or get supplies which vary according to the numbers. We need an accurate headcount. In general, our events are adult-only events, unless specifically listed as "family friendly."

New members are encouraged to check out our events free of charge and with no obligation. We are confident you'll come back! If you like us and come back, our membership is only $10/year and can be paid online.

Suggestions for events are always welcome. Just email the organizer, Patricia Bart, with your ideas.

Members frequently post pictures of the events and participants on the group site and on Facebook. Please understand that this pictures can be seen by the public. Of course, if you find a picture to be unflattering, you can ask the person who posted it to take the photo down.

Summer Concert - The Tom Foolery Band

Central Square

Join us for one last concert in the park rocking and grooving to a great combination of funk, classic rock, disco, Motown, and ballads performed by one of New England's favorite groups. Bring a lawn chair and get down with the music!

Labor Day Sunday Brunch

Trish and Ron Bart's home

Come on over to our place Sunday morning of the Labor Day weekend for some delicious breakfast, sit on the back deck, the front porch or in the kitchen with us. We'll have plenty of bacon, eggs, french toast, coffee, orange juice and whatever else strikes our fancy. If you want to bring your favorite breakfast treat, then by all means do, but otherwise just bring yourself. Don't be fooled by the black dog in the driveway, her name is Shadow and she's a sweetheart, especially if you give her some of your bacon. For those of you who haven't been to our home before, Ron has a G-scale model train layout in the back yard and he might be running the train, maybe we'll see a derailment, those are always fun. See you Sunday!

Welcome new Good Friends!

Fireworks Keene

Let's welcome our new friends to the group with appetizers and drinks (and maybe dinner) at Fireworks in Keene. Appetizers are on the house (Good Friends, actually), drinks are on your tab. Ron and I will be staying for dinner later, we hope you can join us for that as well! Feel free to check out the Firewors menu for your favorite appetizers, just PM me your requests and we'll try to make it happen.
