What we're about

The Omaha Agile Development user group will focus on discussing Agile related topics and techniques. The group is being established as a response to our community’s interest in Agile adoption across multiple organizations. The main goal is to create a collaborative forum where members of our agile community can meet and discuss their experience, share ideas and techniques or learn more about incorporating or improving agile practices within their own organization.

Managing Virtual Agile Teams - Creating Pathways For Agile Practices

Farm Credit Services of America

Come join us, with speaker Stephanie Trudell, for an opportunity to learn about ways you can foster agile practices to occur with your virtual agile teams: Agile development was originally designed for teams that were physically co-located. The idea was that better communication during project activities would occur with teams that were able to meet face-to-face. In today’s modern workplace, team members can be globally distributed, either in the office or from home. To take advantage of the benefits of a distributed team, organizations need to recognize the challenges of virtual teams and create different pathways for agile practices to occur. Stephanie Trudell has been training project managers for the past 15 years. Stephanie is currently a contractor in the role of Scrum Master/Agile Project Manager. She holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), Agile ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) and Six Sigma Black Belt. She holds a BS in Project Management with a minor in Business Administration, and a MS in Organizational Performance from Bellevue University. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Human Capital Management. Her primary research interests include traditional and agile project management, leadership, risk management, knowledge management, psychological capital, and organizational performance 5:30-6 Networking 6-7/7:30 Stephanie/Q&A 7:30 - Closing
