Get dad what he really wants for Father's Day this year: A Nuke-Con Aftershock game day outing! Come on out with dear old dad (or with your kids for you dads reading this) for some family fun and gaming! While all gaming types are encouraged, the theme for this Aftershock will be "family friendly", so you're encouraged to bring out games that the whole family can enjoy!
Megan McGuire will be running a Live-Action Role-Playing game at Yellow Cake this year:
Welcome recruit! You’re here because you are a survivor. What you went through, what you saw, it had to be rough. Eruptions always are.
But now that you are part of the Society we will teach you how to Control your powers, and how to use them to protect people from the same thing that happened to you. Now that you have been Infected with the Flux, you are a Carrier. You are the only possible defense against the Flux – because you have already been exposed and survived.
You might be able to throw fire now, or change into a wolf, or move through walls, but you are a walking time bomb. You can spread the Infection and cause new Eruptions if you lose Control. Remember that. Only the Society can teach you Control. The Society knows what is best. Trust us. And whatever you do – don’t listen to the other Societies. They don’t have your best interests at heart.
Welcome to State of Chaos- Supernatural Live Action Role Play in a world of dire consequence and impending disaster. Become an Agent of one of the Five Societies and defend the city against the Flux that makes you so powerful – and so dangerous. Heavy intrigue, horror, with action and investigation.
Adults Only Please. For 5-20 players, no previous experience required
If you are interested in playing, please log into the Nuke-Con discussion forums at https://www.nuke-con.com/px/ and reply to the “State of Chaos” discussion thread under “General Discussion.”
YET another BONUS!!!
Attention all X-Wing Miniatures and Star Trek Attack Wing players! We will have a very special treat for you at Yellow Cake this year! We will be setting up a 4'x8' table filled with model asteroids for your enjoyment.
Perhaps you want to have TIE fighters try to capture the Millennium Falcon for Lord Vader, or the U.S.S. Enterprise track down Orion Pirates that just hit a Federation freighter carrying critical medicine for Mr. Spock, or maybe just some practice in successfully navigating an asteroid field without getting pulverized.
What kind of missions can you think of? How about special rules for how the asteroids move. Give this one some thought. If you think you’ve some interesting ideas, please submit them to Nuke-Con’s discussion forums at https://www.nuke-con.com/px/ by replying to the “Asteroids” discussion thread under “General Discussions.”
