Two routes - Same challenging hills.
Option 1 is a 21+ mile route with over 1100' of climbing and utilizes several Durham bike lanes. Option 2 is a 17 mile shorter route with over 800' of climbing and still plenty of bike lanes.
We are a no-drop ride, meaning that a designated "ride sweep" will stop at intersections to assist anyone who needs directions or is having difficulties. Please note, sweep is a volunteer role and not guaranteed for every ride.
This is a multi-pace ride. We will break into 2 or 3 groups based on pace, but all riders should be able to hold a 15 mph pace minimum average on a hilly course.
Meet in Menchie's parking lot to avoid shopping center traffic.
A helmet, water, spare tube, patch kit and pump are required. Glasses are recommended for eye protection.
After the ride, join us for food and a cold beverage at Chubby's Tacos. (https://chubbystacos.com/menu/) Indoor and outdoor seating, lots of space and cold beverages.
Riders leave the parking lot at 6:15 PM.
