Show up at the park's main entrance. Wear light gym clothing, trainers and bring water. We start at 7.00 PM and the workout will last 30-45 minutes. Please come a few minutes early to meet friends and introduce yourself. We'll warm up beforehand with a light jog and dynamic stretches to elevate the heart and breathing rates and increase blood flow to the muscles. Then we progress to high intensity interval training circuits, with workout stations thrown in between. I prefer boot camp style exercises, so think push-ups, sit-ups, planks, squats, burpees, etc. And there's a lot of high fives, smiles, and laughing involved, too...
Not sure how to do burpees? Crab walks? Tuck jumps? That's fine! I'll teach you. This is an awesome way to get fit fast. At the end of the workout, we'll spend 5-10 mins having a stretch and cool down.
Oh, and remember The Three Rules:
(1) Anyone can do this.
(2) Everyone is welcome.
(3) We will have fun.
PS. Please have a meal 1-2 hours before training and also make sure to stay hydrated on the day by drinking lots of water. In order to power through the workout, you need fuel. That's why it's important to consume carbohydrates. Not only will they provide a source of energy, carbohydrates will sustain you throughout the entire workout. Some recommended carbohydrate sources are rice, oatmeal and pasta. Fruits, such as oranges and bananas make an excellent addition to your pre-workout meal.
