Tai Chi in One Tree Hill Weekly Meetup

Hi there,

For all those interested in practicing or learning Tai Chi here is a meetup you may enjoy. We will be practicing the 18 step and Yang Style Simplified 10 and 24 Step in the very tranquil environs of One Tree Hill and it would be great if you could come down.

Beginners through to experts are all welcome. We try to start as close to 10am as we can every Saturday morning. We normally start with some warm ups, followed by the 18 form then the 10 and 24 form, this would take us through to around 11:30am. A hot cup of tea follows for those who can stay.

For anyone interested in practicing at home we post up helpful videos and material in the message board and files section of the website.

Please have a look at these links, there is some good stuff in there:

What a great start to the weekend!

1. Enter One Tree Hill from the Greenlane West entrance.

2. Follow Pohutukawa Drive until you come to a large round about.

3. Turn sharp left at the round about into a large car-park.

4. When you get to the 2nd roundabout go right around the round about and head down the long straight drive nearly to the end where the BBQ area is and you should see us on the grass on your left.

There is no charge for this meetup as the more that can come the merrier. Our Teacher, Nick, has been learning Tai Chi for many years now, he is a Kiwi but has studied Chinese Medicine, has a very good understanding of the Philosophy of Tai Chi and also can speak Mandarin fluently. This makes him a very good teacher to help pass on many of the subtleties of this ancient art form to people of non-chinese origin.

We meet every Saturday morning, and regardless of how many people say they are coming on this website, normally have about 10-15 ppl come along.

Hope to see you there.
