Join us on Thursday November 10th at 1313 Innovation as we kickoff the 2017 Open Data Challenge. The Open Data Challenge is a partnership with the State of Delaware's Government Information Center (http://gic.delaware.gov) and the Tech Forum of Delaware (http://techforumde.org) following the launch of Delaware's Open Data Portal (http://data.delaware.gov). The Open Data Challenge will help to build tangible, sustainable solutions for community issues using open data.

This week we'll be exploring the Open Data Portal so that we can answer a few questions moving forward:

• What datasets are in the portal?

• What should be there that isn't?

• What problems could we solve using the data that is available right now?

This will be Part 1 of our ongoing Open Data Challenge series which will include speakers, workshops, and hack nights all leading up to our annual National Day of Civic Hacking event. Don't miss out!

Schedule:

6:00 PM: Doors open - grab pizza and say hello

6:20 PM: Open Data Challenge Kickoff & Overview

6:30 PM: Open Data Portal Exploration & Workshop

8:00 PM: Call it a night

Parking

There is metered street parking (quarters only) around 1313 Innovation and it's free after 6:00pm.

If you'd prefer a parking garage, we recommend Colonial Parking at 12th and Orange Streets. The entrance is on Orange Street. This lot is open until 9pm.
