Open Data Day will bring together citizens in different cities around the world. To write applications, liberate data, create visualizations and publish analyses using open public data to show support for and encourage the adoption of open data policies by the world's local, regional and national government.
On the 4th of March, Open Data Durban (https://opendata.durban/)and the MakerSpace (http://themakerspace.co.za/) will be piloting our Build a Weather Station programme as part of our data clubs. Using Opensensors (https://www.opensensors.io/) as a database to store the data collected on the day and with the help of a group of specialists we will be getting people to build an Arduino weather station. All you need to bring with you is your laptop. Join us to build, measure, analyse and just have fun.
You can also check out the Open Data Day event site (http://opendataday.org/) by Open Knowledge International (https://okfn.org/) of the events happening around the world.
Don’t miss out, everyone is welcome.
