Hello Open Data Book Club!

First some relevant, big news: the Province of Prince Edward Island has released some data sets (http://bit.ly/1UhNHuN) under a new Open Government License (http://bit.ly/1YorCxn). This is a tremendous step forward!

Our speaker for June is Carol Mayne, Director of Business Application Services (in Finance and ITSS), with the Government of Prince Edward Island. She is the lead for the Open Data initiative described above.

Carol will provide an overview of the specific data sets and, more importantly, the license and policy framework. This meeting is absolutely in the wheelhouse for the Open Data Book Club, so please attend if you can make it.

Location is the new Startup Zone at the corner of Queen & Water, in Charlottetown.
