Creative Conscious Wardrobe: Be unique, stylish, and save on (festive) outfits
Many of us are actively looking for advice and recommendations for simplifying, reducing, being more sustainable and finding more meaning in everyday living. Thus different lifestyle approaches such as minimalism, conscious consumption, mindfulness are getting more and more popular. Still, most of us, even when determined, cannot just adopt a new lifestyle nor just change our habits from one day to the other. It is a process and a journey where knowing about others’ experiences and the ways to overcome challenges play a crucial role in success. In order to succeed we need to link our habits with our believes, align them and find ways how to ‘do more with less (with available)’: be creative when facing the challenge. THE WORKSHOP The aim - To give you information and insights on a conscious wardrobe approach based on my own experience and journey. - To inspire you to take positive actions in your life that will lead to a more sustainable lifestyle and being more of a conscious consumer. - To give you some practical ideas on how to deal with the challenges you might face along the journey to your desired wardrobe. These will help you to: *stay on the right track *be unique, stylish and able to express your visual identity with clothes *to use more of what to already have *spend less on your festive and special occasion outfits *be inventive and an experiment more The workflow The workshop will consist of three parts: 1. THE RATIONALE: Brief introduction to conscious wardrobe: information, insights, and discussion on possible challenges 2. THE SHOWCASE: Showcase of the styling proposals I’ve done so far, based on the principles of doing more with what I already had and on experimenting with different inexpensive elements to allow me to play more with my clothes (digital presentation and browsing through actual clothing items) 3. DIY - we will apply some of the ideas from the showcase to your own outfit. Together we can discuss possible options and practice some interventions. This part is optional and for it, you could bring or wear something that you would like to transform. You can decide to give it a go or just observe, engage and give your inputs while we work on other participants’ items. The Fee As this is the first workshop of this kind we are just charging a promo fee, set to cover only the expenses of the organization. The fee is 70AED and it covers: - The workshop venue - Refreshments - A small gift kit to encourage you to apply some of the ideas shown and experiment with your clothes at home.

What we're about

Inspired by creative people around the world who open their private spaces to the public to share experiences, I decided to occasionally open my home, invite you in and create an environment where we would engage in few hours of creative work or engaging activities.

If you :

- enjoy engaging in creative activities, crafts, DIY, cooking
- pursue a healthy and sustainable lifestyle
- like to meet new people in a frame that focuses on sharing and on exchanging knowledge and experiences

this is a group for you. Welcome home:).

The meetups will be structured as workshops of different themes with the goal of creating or learning something new each time.

My hope for this group is to inspire and encourage people to reclaim the ownership of their preferences and choices in an attempt to discover a more sustainable approach to lifestyle.

In absence of urban realm of traditional cities, that create an authentic environment for encounters, for the exchange of ideas and experiences, I wish that we could together create opportunities to experience those in this home setting.

Looking forward to meeting you.
