We're Reimagining our Local and National 911 System
RSVP: National Day of Civic Hacking | September 18, 2021
Join us on Saturday, September 18 as we #Reimagine911.
We'll come together as Open San Diego, a Code for America brigade -- in partnership with Transform911 from the University of Chicago -- to collect data, do system mapping, and begin design thinking and prototyping to understand the levers of change in the 911 system and start to reimagine a new, human-centered emergency response system.
People of all skill levels are invited and welcome to participate. There will be actions available to leverage different skills.
The event will consist of a kickoff panel discussion at 9am PT / 12pm ET, followed by "hacking time" on specific actions (guidance provided). An optional lunch-and-learn will also be available.
If you’re unable to make the event definitely check out the Opening Talk at 9-10am.
