July presentations:
Kael Shipman -- Weenie
Kael presents a high-level overview of Weenie, a small, strongly-typed, unopinionated dependency injection framework for Typescript. You'll learn the why, the how, and the what next.
Ian Shipman -- Lambda Calculus
When you think about a low-level computer, you probably think of a machine with simple instructions that can access memory and perform arithmetic. This is the concrete form of one model of computation: the Turing Machine. There is another model, the lambda calculus, based on substitution which turns out to be equivalent. I'll explain what lambda calculus is, give lots of examples, and show how it can make functional programming easier to understand.

Come together to hang out and work on projects. If you have a project, bring it, hack on it, and tell people about it! If you don't feel like working on the weekend, you can come meet people and chat it up. (Please note, however, that many people come to these to get work done on their projects, so be respectful of those who are trying to work.)
We are VIRTUAL until further notice. We will post a Mozilla Hubs room as the meetup nears.
