Open Art Studio & Iris Paper Folding

Time: 1pm to 3pm

Bring your arts and crafts supplies and your creativity and join us for an Open Art Studio day at Marionette's studio, Painting Paradise, located in Waimea Kauai. Create something wonderful while you talk story with fellow artisans.

Marlese, our guest instructor, will also be teaching Iris Paper Folding during the Open Studio. There will be a $5 materials fee for this project. Iris Paper Folding is a craft technique that involves folding strips of colored paper in such a way to form a design. The center of the design forms an iris - a shape reminiscent of the iris of a camera lens. She will have lots of designs to choose from. After the craft is done, it will be made into a greeting card. Come and learn this fun craft!

What to bring: Whatever art supplies and project(s) you are working on.

Cost: Free for the Open Studio (Art supplies are available for a fee if you don't have your own.)
$5 materials fee for the Iris Folding Class.
