  • 2nd Saturday dinner prep for W&CF Domestic Violence Shelter
On the 2nd Saturday of every month, we prepare dinner for 40 women & children residents at the domestic violence shelter (they so appreciate it!). Once we've prepared the meal, then one ODO'er will drive it to the confidential domestic violence shelter location. No need to bring an ingredient. Bethany provides everything. However, she encourages donations up to $10 to offset the cost. This is one of our funnest and most fulfilling events - hope to see you there!

  • 14th Annual Christmas Caravan Little Rock
Details: Little Rock Christmas Caravan is Christmas Celebration for the Homeless and Low Income. Local churches and organizations gather to distribute: toys, winter clothing, toiletries, food and outdoor living necessities to those in need. Breakfast is served and Santa makes an appearance. • What we'll do: We'll first meet near the main entrance downtown to the Clinton Presidential Center Grounds to participate in the annual Christmas Caravan! This is a very special event which ODO has participated in during the last 5 years. Items are distributed to low-income individuals and families, as well as homeless individuals and families. So if you'd like to unclutter your cupboards, closets, and/or garage, just bring your donated items to the Clinton Presidential Center Grounds parking lot that morning. (TBA DATES LATER UPON APPROVAL FOR DROP OFFS IF YOU CAN'T COME, BUT WANT TO HELP) Or make other arrangements for donating items by texting Christina Casper-McCoy[masked]. If making arrangements for dropping off please put in a bag or box neatly and label what things are roughly please. I will be putting them in a storage unit till the time is needed for the event. So if there's glass in there I need to know so we don't break them. Note: families who attend the Christmas Caravan especially appreciate toys, sheets, plates, pans, lamps, clothing, decorative items, etc. Homeless attendees particularly need items for warmth during the winter. If you arrive late 5-20 minutes and are seeking out the ODO group, just texting Christina Casper-McCoy[masked]. But try not to be late. set-up will be early because people show up super early, and we need time to set up and park our vechicles that are not being used for the event. Christina Casper-McCoy
