Open Savannah! The Kickoff Brainstorm Edition Idea-Night

Details
We'll get together for the first time officially as a diverse and inclusive mix of Savannah-area technologists, community activists, data people, local journalists, government employees and everyday residents who share the common goal of helping to improve Savannah's public data and government services.
As an official Code for America (http://codeforamerica.org) brigade, we'll go over national guidelines, talk about the value of collaboration and open data in improving our community and have a `mini-hacknight` to brainstorm potential projects and set a roadmap for action going forward. We'll also take nominations for the remaining positions (http://opensavannah.org) on our core leadership team, and get to know one another over Mellow Mushroom pizza and drinks (yes, a full free meal!).
A special shout-out to our community and government partners techSAV.co, The Creative Coast and Savannah Area Urban and Economic Development Authority.
Have specific ideas for projects or community data needs we should address first that you'd like to talk about? Email carl@opensavannah.org or just show up to the event and speak up during discussion time to pitch your idea.
This event is open to all sorts of idea-generating individuals. No coding experience necessary, just a desire to solve problems and do cool things. We hope to see you there.
(Note: Attendees with any special dietary restrictions should email carl@opensavannah.org at least 24-hours prior to the event; vegetarian options will already be made available)
