Hello all - our Sept. Meetup is go to be soooo KEWL, and is NOT to be missed!!!! We have a doubleheader event...

First up - Dustin Kirkland of Canonical joins us to get into the Ubuntu Orange Box. All of OpenStack Ice House, deployed in minutes, over and over and over again. Not an all-in-one DevStack; not a minimum viable set of components. Real, rich, production-quality OpenStack! Ceilometer, Ceph, Cinder, Glance, Heat, Horizon, Keystone, MongoDB, MySQL, Nova, NTP, Quantum, and RabbitMQ -- intelligently orchestrated and rapidly scaled across 10 physical servers sitting right up front on the podium. Of course, we'll go under the hood and look at how all of this comes together on the fabulousUbuntu Orange Box.

Dustin Kirkland is Canonical's Cloud Solutions Product Manager, leading the technical product strategy, road map, and life cycle of Ubuntu Cloud commercial offerings. Dustin is an active Core Developer of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, maintainer of 20+ open source projects, and the creator of Byobu. Dustin lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife Kim, daughters, and his Australian Shepherds, Aggie and Tiger. Dustin is also an avid home brewer.

Maybe Dustin will bring along a few samples of his brew craft!!! :-)

Second up ... Talligent is pleased to return to the Austin Openstack Meet-up to demo the OpenBook billing and customer lifecycle solution built for OpenStack clouds.

Sanjay Mishra, CTO of Talligent, will demo the OpenBook solution as well as discuss best practices for managing a multi-tenant OpenStack Cloud, including billing/chargeback, management reporting, self-service automation, and customer lifecycle management. OpenBook by Talligent provides the visibility and control required for multi-tenant private or public clouds running on OpenStack, leveraging a deep integration with OpenStack components and a detailed historical record of configuration details and consumption metrics

Sanjay is Founder and CTO of Talligent, the Openstack billing and reporting company. He has been closely involved with the Openstack movement for the last 18 months, and has helped drive the development of the Ceilometer Openstack Telemetry and metering service.
