Auth / login ??

Would it be possible to have a technical presentation which addresses
the following confusion?

1) Here is one way to get a token from rackspace. I have counted 5 different Auth URLs in the docs
and a couple different methods. I kept trying till one worked.
url ='m/v2.0/tokens'
payload = '{"auth":{"RAX-KSKEY:apiKeyCredentials":{"username":"phillipwatts", "apiKey":"MyKey"}}}'
headers = {'content-type': 'application/json'}

2) The python docs are very confusing.

3) the token expires!!! The token is required for every API call?
That implies "statelessness".

4) AWS EC2 is SO much easier. And clearer. Everything works off a "connection".
One Auth and you are done for a session. OpenStack equivalent?

5) the API docs will tantalize with one or two curl examples then go away.
