Details

Network Functions Virtualization is a network architecture concept that uses the technologies of IT virtualization to virtualize entire classes of network node functions into building blocks that may connect, or chain together, to create communication services.

In this presentation, a proof of concept will be demonstrated and explained on how one can mix and match off-the-shelf disparate SW components and create a Network Service, consisting of many VNFs, all managed by a VNF Manager. OpenStack Heat concepts will be used in the various Heat Orchestration templates to manifest and coordinate the instantiation of the NS.
