Keep it Fresh with Air-Tight Containers - The February OpenStack L.A. Meetup

Details
I am thrilled to welcome back Cynthia Thomas, a Systems Engineer at Midokura, to present at the OpenStack L.A. Meetup!
Cynthia is a great presenter and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on February 25!
Presentation Abstract:
Keep it Fresh with Air-Tight Containers
Security is always of importance when it comes to deploying production-grade cloud computing. With the adoption of container orchestration engines like Kubernetes and Mesos, it’s important adapt security technologies that scale with growing deployments.
The OpenStack Neutron project presents a framework for applying network policies and higher-layer services typically achieved by physical, and potentially virtual, appliances. With technologies stemming from Neutron plugins, overlay technologies can narrow security policies right down the port-level - be it a VM or a container.
In this talk, we will discuss some growing container orchestration engines, their potential impact on existing networks, and the importance of putting the seal on unwanted flows by applying security policies at the ingress of a cloud.
