Microservices and a Happy Hour

Microservices and a Happy Hour

Details

UPDATE: This invite is posted in a few places, and apparently we're at or near capacity for the room! Which is a good problem to have. I'm going to limit the number of registrants here to those who have already registered. If by chance you are left out, please let me know and I'll see what we can do.

Hello Everyone,

Back in September we had microservices expert Christian Posta out to discuss containers and microservices. Since then, he's streamlined his presentation and is handling events all over the country! I'd like to do several events around the concept of containers in the first half of 2017 including PaaS and IaaS presentations and workshops. This will be the first part of that series.

Since this is part of Christian's events tour, there is an official registration link. Please register if you're able to attend (also so I can plan for happy hour). The arrival time will be 2:00, with Christian presenting from 2:30 to 4:30. Happy Hour will follow.

Presentation Abstract:

Microservices architectures have many benefits, but they also come with some unique challenges. Knowledge and preparation are key to maximizing the benefits of microservices.

In this seminar, you'll learn when to consider a microservices architecture, how to get started, and how it relates to other IT trends, like DevOps, Internet of Things (IoT), and big data.
