Let's Celebrate the 7th Birthday of OpenStack!

Dear members of the meetup group,

this year - just like on several previous occasions in previous years - you are invited for a special meetup to celebrate the 7th birthday of OpenStack.

We will have one demo from RISE SICS presented by Dr. Ahmad Al-Shistawy, followed by an open discussion about your experiences with using OpenStack and future plans for the community.

Title of the demo: Interactive Exploration and Visualisation of Traffic Accident Data.

Abstract: In the Big Automotive-Data Analytics (BADA) project, we investigate how Big Data Analytics Platforms and Machine Learning Algorithms can impact the transport and automotive industries. In this presentation/demo, we show how Elasticsearch and Kibana can help data scientists to interactively explore and visualize the Swedish traffic accident dataset (STRADA). This is an important step in the data analytics lifecycle that help data scientists to gain insights into the data and to better understand the limits of the dataset. We also go through our OpenStack environment and how we used it to deploy the Elastic Stack.
