Details
SDSC (San Diego Supercomputing Center) runs an OpenStack-powered cloud providing compute and a multi-petabyte storage environment for researchers and other users.
Kevin Coakley will be telling us how SDSC is leveraging OpenStack to power their cloud environments. He is a Senior Storage Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining a multi-petabyte OpenStack Swift object storage cluster for a user base of thousands. Ensures 99.99% uptime and sub 500 milisecond response times. This is a hundred plus terabyte Ceph cluster to support OpenStack Nova/Cinder/Glance services that ensures 99.99% uptime and sub 500 milisecond response times.
