Kubernetes+OpenStac­­­k & OpenStack 7th Birthday Celebration

Lots planned this month! We'll be celebrating OpenStack's 7th birthday with great food and cake!

In addition, we'll be walking through how to set up a private container cloud supporting multiple Container Orchestration Engines (COEs) such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and Apache Mesos. We'll dive into how to support different container platform flavors (CoreOS and Fedora Atomic) and tenant/project separation for security isolation when using a common set of hardware.

All of the presentation instructions will be available online should you want to run through the steps and build your own container cloud. No need to bring a laptop to this session.

We've also got a great overview to present from the OpenStack Foundation on the latest cloud computing trends and results from the 2017 User Survey. This includes the latest statistics on cloud, container, IaaS, and PaaS adoption. There's some interesting news on cloud computing work going on at Walmart, AT&T, American Express, eBay, and BestBuy just to name a few.
