Neighbor Day Mapping and Picnic

Details

Since 1995, Seattle has designated Neighbor Day, a special day to help make our neighborhoods a great place to live.

During the pandemic we've lost a lot of favorite neighborhood restaurants and businesses (and gained a few, too!). For Neighbor Day 2022, let's update these changes in OpenStreetMap across Seattle.

First, for any business you can think of (new or gone), look it up in OSM and either add or update its status. (Be sure not to remove street address tags that are still valid though!)

Then we'll meet up afterwards at 1pm at Jefferson Park for a picnic (support one of your places by picking up some takeout!).

We'll be watching both the weather and Covid trends. Even if you can't join us, map from wherever you happen to be!

COVID-19 safety measures

Event will be outdoor
Masks are optional, and we'll be outdoors and socially distancing.
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
