How to Use OpenStreetMap Data. Presentation and Mappy Hour - May 2013

Details

Wow. So much wonderful feedback over the past few years, and so many committed new mappers recently. This time, how about if we put on a Show!

Mappy Hour is always a time for questions and answers and a time for catching up with new and old friends and their interesting geo-activities. This month, we'll add a short, formal presentation to the agenda. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period, then the usual ad-hoc, small group conversations. It'll be fun!

The presentation this month is called,

"How to Use OpenStreetMap Data" and it will touch on the important points that you need to know if you plan to use OpenStreetMap data.

Also included in the presentation will be a decision-making flowchart, entertaining internet photos of cats and a bold Venn diagram. There will be no Comic Sans in the presentation.

The intended audience is "beginners and beyond", so everybody will get something from the presentation.

After the short presentation we'll continue with the usual Mappy hour activities; fun conversation, questions and answers, and cameraderie.

Contact us if you would like to suggest or offer a presentation future Mappy hour events.
