Happy Birthday OpenStack! And OpenStack 101!

Happy Birthday OpenStack! And OpenStack 101!

Details

In addition to our "regular" meetup in July, join us to celebrate the 4th Birthday of OpenStack. Drinks and giveaways sponsored by the OpenStack Foundation, of course, and we will have some "special" activities to mark the occasion!

For the "regular" session we have John Devereaux of Mirantis joining us to provide another round of introductory coverage on OpenStack. Mirantis will do a walk thru of OpenStack for those with little to no experience. Join us if you want to understand the purpose of OpenStack and its ecosystem, as well as if you want to learn more about the OpenStack architecture.

With all the newcomers to our meetup - Kamesh and I asure this will be a popular night! So tell your friends and colleagues and get ready to sing Happy Birthday to OpenStack!!!

Here is John's Bio: John servies as a Cloud Ninja focusing on OpenStack Solutions for Wall Street and other Critical Accounts, at Mirantis.

Responsible for designing High Availability Solutions for customers with the use of Ceph, Heat, and other OpenStack Services working with various Hypervisors and Linux Distributions.

Working on Trove - “Database as a Service” which is new to Icehouse that is of a growing interest with customers.

Reminders:

A light dinner and soft drinks will be provided ~ 6:30pm courtesy of Mirantis, and we will kick off the sessions ~ 7:00pm.

If you are interested in giving a Lightening Talk shoot us a note with a topic or just come to the session ready to speak!

• DON'T FORGET - for security reasons, the NERD center requires atendees to show a government issued photo ID in order to gain access into the building. Best option for parking is the NERD center parking garage which charges a flat rate after 4pm.
