Come and join us for this inaugural Oracle Data Viz Meetup event, hosted by ODTUG, who bring you one of the world's biggest annual Oracle user group conferences, Kscope! Oracle Data Viz is the (relatively) new self-service analytics and data preparation tool from Oracle that runs both as a cloud service and a desktop tool.

In this Meetup we will explore the new features and enhancements to version 3 of the product, including the new datasources, data preparation, new visualizations. You'll dive into building your own visuals and infographics using the SDK.

Presentation 1: Introducing Oracle Data Visualization Desktop v3, Francesco Tisiot, Rittman Mead

This presentation will provide a brief overview of Oracle Data Viz and cover all the new features in the v3 release.

Presentation 2: Build Your Own Infographics Using the Data Visualization SDK, Antony Heljula, Peak Indicators Ltd.

Create your own custom visuals within Oracle Data Visualization, enabling you to deliver sophisticated infographics that can tell your stories in new and exciting ways! Using the SDK can be tricky so aim of this session is to break down the steps and make the process easier to absorb, with working examples on how to implement infographics that work and interact like all other built-in components. The SDK is an important feature of Data Visualization. For example: Many customers still rely on static monthly management packs. It has always been a challenge with OBIEE / BI Publisher to deliver management reporting packs effectively. But with the Data Visualization SDK, there is the great potential of delivering fully interactive and on-line management packs that are mobile-enabled. It's a great way to move customers on to a modernized analytics platform.
