What we're about
"Artificial intelligence is growing exponentially. There is no doubt about that. Self-driving cars are clocking up millions of miles, IBM Watson is diagnosing patients better than armies of doctors and Google Deepmind's AlphaGo beat the World champion at Go - a game where intuition plays a key role.
But the further AI advances, the more complex ones become the problems Deep Learning needs to solve and only this new and exciting technology can solve such complex problems. This is why it's at the heart of Artificial intelligence." - Kirill Eremenko, Data Scientist & Forex Systems Expert
We exist to bring likeminded individuals together in an effort to discuss in practical ways how we can leverage the power of Deep Learning. We will also explore the ethical and political ramifications of wielding such a powerful technology (i.e. Facebook, Cambridge Analytica). We welcome all skill levels and all participants affected whether technical or not. If your at all curious to learn more or eager to share your knowledge don't hesitate to join us.
[About the Organizer]
I grew up a techie in Silicon Valley, California and studied Graphic Communication with an emphasis in Electronic Publishing and Imaging at Cal Poly State University San Luis Obispo. While finishing up my degree I worked for a small legal document startup managing off-site imaging projects for major law firms in the Los Angeles marketplace. After graduating I continued gaining valuable experience at some of the top law firms and service providers in Southern California.
Now a resident of Southern California for the past 15 years I enjoy chasing the latest big data technologies as the legal industry has been greatly affected by their advances.
