This group is intended to be a peer-led support group for anyone who struggles with anxiety, depression, paranoia, panic attacks, mood and personality disorders, effects of abuse and trauma (physical or emotional), self-esteem, and negative self-image issues. As we are not professional counselors or therapists, we intend for the group to be peer-led and peer-supported. You can get what you want out of the meeting by just suggesting things to do, to talk about, or bring an activity. The meetings tend to be relatively informal with a minimal amount of structure. We talk about therapists, topics of the day, each others' journeys, etc... Most people find that the group provides proof that we're not alone, gives insight into what others do for their treatment and management, and can provide understanding that we can't find from our family and friends who don't go through what we do. We meet at least once a week to share and provide support for one another.
