Hi Folks,

This is quick a message to encourage you to make an effort to get to tonight's meet up.

I was very much looking forward to it but my son and I are sick as dogs and can't come out to play ;-( Also I am sure you'll be fine without me!)

Bleddyn is a brilliant host and Rentadesk and Chun Wai has put a lot of effort in getting this organised. We decided to run it here as a bring and share because it is much more fun the "just another bloody pub."

What is in it for you?

We certainly don't expect all 335 of you to show up every time and we are not up for bums on seats. What we are up for is sharing ideas and swapping war stories. Every time this group meets really good things happen.

Since I have met more organisers the numbers have grown in all my groups, the attendance is up, I save a LOAD of time in what I do in Meet Up and - best of all - there is a significantly stronger sense of community in the Meet Up's I run and take part in.

NEXT UP

We want to run another BIG "Bar Camp" style day, like the one we ran at Talk Talk last year was a roaring success. As you know these things don't pay for themselves or run themselves.

Pardon me being blunt:- companies are more willing to sponsor well attended Meet Up's so if you take part here we can get someone to pay for an event to help make your Meet Up work better.

Meet Up and "City as a Platform"...

In the last six months we have been playing in the Sharing Economy (check out London Bloggers Meet Up and check out KindredHQ) which has brought many of us together in better ways in London.

There is a lot of good stuff happening in London and a lot of that good stuff is happening on Meet Up, as Cities become highly connected "platforms" places like Meet Up are where the fun is and if you are running a Meet Up you are in a position to help make that fun happen for others.

So come and share your Meet Up Love tonight ;-)

Thanks for reading.

Bernie

(sent from my mobile device pls excuse any typos)
