Details

Tommy Lee: RESTful API Design: Illustrated

We’ll attempt to explain RESTful design and see what we can learn when we simplify terms and concepts into pictures.

We’ll also cover some of the challenges developers face when it comes to implementing REST.

Tommy Lee is a Web Applications Developer for Entertainment Benefits Group. He When he's not working on fixing his SEO or talking about doing fitness, Tommy co-runs the least scalable meetup in the world: Orlando Cook & Code.

Michael Tracy: Working with Legacy Code; How to test the untestable

Ever had to debug a method 1000 lines long? Ever had to fix said bug? Ever had to push the fix to prod, and pray you didn't break anything? If this sounds familiar, then you might be working with Legacy Code. In this talk, I will be presenting techniques to understand, refactor, and ultimately test such a codebase.

Who am I? My name is Mike Tracy, and I'm a senior backend engineer for Universal Orlando. I've worked with projects big and small, code new and old, but still learn new things every day.
